Local Hero Video Series: Week 324 Feat. Omar Marroquin

As Crossroads Farmers Market celebrates 20 years of promoting food access and community resilience, we recognize its amazing manager Omar Marroquin as our MD-08 Local Hero. Hear all about how this market became the first in Maryland to accept SNAP and WIC benefits and the first in America to match those credits, doubling a family’s purchasing power and the revenue to local farmers. Omar is a great and inspiring organizer for nutrition and community.
